Ivy had only recently arrived in Germany when she collapsed and was quickly rushed to hospital. This was Ivy’s second time in hospital that week, as she had injured her leg in Prague a few days before. She was treated for a stomach bleed thought to be caused by the medication she was given in Prague for her leg. Ivy spent 5 days in intensive care and another 5 days in hospital until she was well enough to return to her hotel. Ivy called her travel insurance provider for assistance. They covered her medical costs and ensured she was receiving the correct medical care.
