Clyde had an asthma attack while on a tour. Clyde was discovering Turkey on a group tour that visited popular sites. During the day’s activities, he began to have difficulty breathing and realised that it was an asthma attack. His tour guide called an ambulance and he was transported to hospital. The hospital kept him in observation overnight. When Clyde was released, the rest of his tour group was already 350km away at the next destination. Clyde didn’t want to cancel the rest of his trip. He organised a taxi so he could catch up with the rest of the group. When Clyde contacted his travel insurer, they assessed that he was medically fit enough to return to his tour and reimbursed him for his medical costs and the taxi ride.
