Impaled on the Great Wall

Nadia impaled her hand on a large stick while visiting the Great Wall of China. The wall is over 2,000 years old, and its uneven steps and worn walkways can cause visitors to lose balance and fall. It was Nadia’s first visit to the Great Wall. While walking up a flight of steps, Nadia slipped and tumbled down to the bottom. Her hand was speared by a large stick when she landed. Nadia was urgently transferred to hospital. Doctors informed Nadia that she required surgery to remove the stick and repair the damage. Nadia’s friend called her travel insurance provider to ensure that she was receiving the correct care. The travel insurer’s medical team gave advice, and Nadia’s policy covered the cost of her treatment.
